From the story by Rudyard Kipling about a 10 year old boy from a rich family who falls into the sea from a liner. He is rescued by the crew of a fishing schooner at sea for months before returning to harbour. In the meantime he's taken under the wing of Manuel who becomes a father figure. The boy, Harvey, changes from being a whiner to become a more personable being.
